Going Green...or at least Greener :)

I now walk to work everyday...I love it!! It's so nice to feel the sun on my face and smell the fresh ocean air. Today I also decided to research biodegradable dog poop bags, and they do exist! I found a great website that sells them I am so tired of using plastic grocery sacks especially when I read today on cnn.com that it takes 430,000 gallons of oil to manufacture 100 million plastic grocery bags!!!

Doing the math this is what I came up with....the other day oil closed at $123 a barrel. I found there is about 42 gallons of oil per barrel. That means it required 10,239 barrels of oil costing a total of $1,259,397 to make plastic grocery bags last year. No thank you!
